mid america sells a front and back lowering kit for under a 100 bucks. although lowering the front requires removing the front spring. rear is simple, change out the bolts.

How much would it cost, do you think, for a shop to do it for me? I'm not gunna touch my suspension.

You live in SoCal... I would not do it... for a couple of reasons.
1) It changes the effective geometry of the suspension. as low as these cars are, that effects the amount to travel.
2) SPEEDBUMPS. need I say more?

I did. I couldn't find any that had opinions on the different kits. So I'm asking it here.

oh, that's the only kit. Ecklers sells a similar part, as does all the other vendors.
The only other option is a $1200 coil over set.

Ok cool. Thanks. Do you know about how much it would cost to get them installed (the $40 kit)?

Dude the rear is nothing but a longer bolt and maybe 2 bushings if they come with them, take you longer to get the grime off of your hads when you are done. The rear suspension is actually very straightforward, I just replace almost all of my rear suspension bushings with polyurethane. You can do it! Just make sure you preload the spring just enough to release tension using a wooden block on a jack so you can control the springs release rate and you are golden.
Good Luck!
