Install of a turn signal switch on an 89????
I think I have fianlly figured out my problem and I am going to replace the turn signal switch (cam) with harness in the sterring column. This is an 89' with tilt/tele steering and cruise control. I don't have a Chilton's or a Haynes manual. Can anybody write me up a set of instructions or is there someone out there with pre-written instructions/pictures on this removal/installation? Maybe someone can tell me what their Chilton's/Haynes manual says? I really can use the help! Thanks

you need a helm manual...

I did a tech tip, but it does not touch on the special instructions needed to get the tele function apart. My 1992 doesn't have tele.
You need to invest some money in documentation. If you are in a pinch for time, the Haynes is better then the Chiltons. But you must get the helm factory service manual. It ain't cheap, but it's worth it's weight in gold.
What are the symptoms? From what I have experienced, the real problem isn't the cam, but the multifunction switch! It breaks... leaving it all floppy and useless.
