Default holley commander 950 tuning????

carbs seem much easier to tune. i haven't got my laptop up and running yet but i have tried to fimiliarize myself with the software on my desktop and load a base map on the ECU to get it to start and run but can't leave the garage yet to datalog. i think its running rich at idle cause it won't stay running too long, sounds like its too fat. i don't know where to start with just working on getting the idle sorted. i don't plan on running an pcv valve and was wondering what i had to do to plug the holes on the side of the throttle body so that it will stay running? any info? new to tuning and efi?! thanks

the run down
9.7:1 385 with AFR 203's, comp 230/236@.050 with .576/571 on a 113lsa, converted and ported LT1 manifold, afpr, 25#injectors, 48mm throttle body for the time being

10.5:1 385 with AFR 203's, comp 230/236@.050 with .576/571 on a 113lsa, converted and ported LT1 manifold, afpr, 25#injectors, 48mm throttle body for the time being

I may have a base map for you to try, but its going to have to be tomorrow before I can get to it. The files are at my shop in my laptop. Your cam is on the big side with low vacuum. And this is a speed density system, so for starters I would remove some fuel in the fuel tables in the 45 to 50 Kpa regions. But its better to start the engine to see where it is idling at to make the changes in those cells. Also it would be good if you had a wide band system for monitoring. Holleys programming leaves a lot to be desired as far as feedback goes.

the highlighted area is where the pointer jumps around at when idling. i put my desktop back in the house so i can get on the net. i can't get any live data unless i drag everything back out to the garage. but for closer tune it would be worth it. the map in the pic is not the same map that i used for it. i guess without my laptop i can't really do crap. i really can't wait to see what this setup will produce. can't afford a wideband right yet. would like to put a bigger throttle body on it too.

That has quite a slope on the Z axis. I'll bet that that thing rich bogs when you tap the gas don't it?

that isn't the exact map that i used it was just one of the base maps, but yes it will blow out black smoke when you tap the gas. i think that all the holley maps run rich as hell for whatever motor. should i start the load scale for the map sensor out at like 35, since i doesn't dip below that reading and just smooth the map from there?
