Default Mas Air Flow Sensor, Replacement?

Is there a different option for the mas air flow sensor that would allow my engine to breath more air? i read in a tpi book that the stock mas gets very restrictive after 325 horses. the only mod i know of is to modify the mas by shaving down the heat sink and removing the screens. is there any other options?

I wouldnt remove the heat sink fins because there is a good chance you'll hit the element and F it up, and I wouldnt believe their claims that its restrictive after 325.

With the screens removed and the fins as well, I know the MAF flows over 700cfm, which is more than you can use anyway.

I dont trust the quality of the aftermarket Granatelli units either, their HP claims are bogus.

Remove the screens, then worry about other things.

i took my rear screen out for now to see if more flow from that changes anything but still have the front one for some protection and even up the air flow to the fillament. but while doing this i noticed that the round cylinder around the fillament looked to have a crack running length wise just off to the side were it mounts, it wasn't a nice stright line. anyone now were i can see a close up picture of one to compare.
