I replaced the PDL switches in both doors of my 88 vert. They have 5 pins that plug into the harness (white plastic connector). Mine were stuck, so I disconnected the neg batt cable and pried them apart from the connector with a small screwdriver. When I installed the new, coated pins on switches with dielectric grease. Hope this helps.
Two of the contact posts on the old driver's door lock switch were heavily corroded. So I cleaned the female contacts, coated the posts with dialectric gease installed the new switch and "voila", the locks now work from either door.
Thanks again Corky52 for the tip on prying apart the switch between the white plastic and the black switch body.
