Anyone used or seen anyone else use March Pulley kit #20280 on a C4?
Here is a pic of a diff. one but pretty much the same.
The reason i'm asking is because the entire front of my baby is stripped down, a stroker is going in, every thing is purdy, and I want something a lot nicer than the ghetto stock setup i had on my engine to complement it. I want it to be as pretty as the rest of my car...
i got march on mine, not sure what kit # it is, but mine are underdrive. the inside is chrome and outter lip is black i think.. look good and give you a couple extra horsies.
im donw here in atlanta if ya need help with the install
Thats kinda what i figured... I'm talking about the entire set in the pics i posted... A/c compressor, alternator, p/s pump, brackets, pulleys, etc... etc...
Be interested to find out myself. It was recommended to me to get a setup from March for my engine after I assemble it to avoid modifying brackets and such. They look nice (especially on their engine that they have on their site). They do make specific kits for LT1 and LS1, so L98 and Crossfire should be possible I would assume.
depends on how much hp you have in the first place. With 400chp you would probably see 10hp. I had some dyno results some where. Have to be careful with them though... may have a problem with overheating etc. if you like cruising at low RPM under 30-40mph.
if i got the pulleys i would also get an electric water pump so i wouldnt have to worry about the overheating. I would just have to find a belt that would fit properly.
Using an electric water pump is a whole diff animal. If you are going to do that make sure you find one that flows adequately for your application. Generally they are for racing apps only... personally i would suggest an aluminum high flow water pump. Thats my $.02. March as a pulley assembly designed for an electric pump setup. www.hotrodlane.cc also has stuff that would fit that application. Check them out.
