All things being equal, head flow determines HP
Vortec heads ~245 (more like ~230)
Fastburn heads ~232 (easy port to 265)
AFR heads ~262
The afr heads will make more TQ due to its smaller runner (195 vs 220 ported)
Scoggin dickey makes a TPI base..It's good for 300 rwHP with a 224/230 cam...13.3 in 1/4 mi-sea level
TPis makes a MR III..it's good for for 450-500+ with a lot of cam (I'm at 350 rwhp with a 224/230 cam), but I'm still tuning and just switched from a high stall bad auto tranny to a zf6
THE BEST INTAKE is the GMPP single plane intake...the intak actually inrease the flow of the heads versus efi intake that reduce the flow
If I was to do it again, i'd get the afr heads and put a modified stealth ram on it. I don't like paying big$ for so so hp increase
