my 95 is throwing a code can anyone tell me what it is?
under (4, I think that is pcm?) what I mean by 4 is it came up like 1.0 or whatever then 4 and under the section 4 it flashed up the code H64
can anyone help me from here? because I reset the code but went through the normal deal to get it to throw up the service engine light and it still came one...
here are the symptoms: cut car on front air pump/ SMOG PUMP? in front left runs for about 1 min 30 secs cuts off all is good then it cuts on and off a couple times then the service engine light comes on along with the Aux. fan cutting on..and if you drive it at high rpm's it has a horrible skip and a slight skip at even low idle.
95 with 41k on it
thanks!

The code is Right O2 sensor lean and it is usaly a bad sensor. It will cause the car to run like crap in closed loop. CFI-EFI stated it doen't nesasarly mean it is a bad O2 sensor but with the LT1 a quick swap of theleft and right O2s will tell you right away, or you can take a $32 gamble and just replace the thing

so you guys think I should replace both 02 sensors while i'm at it? All there is to it is taking off the old ones screwing new ones back into the exhaust pipes and plugging that wire into them right or is there more to it.
if thats all there is I'll just head to advance and do it myself
one thing though you say that code is for the right 02 senor but I think a 95 has like 4 02's so do you know which right one it would be, like before or after the cat...

No we are saying swap the right and left O2s and see if the code moves to the left side if so just swap the bad one.
The 95 has three O2s and the Front O2s are the ones the ECM is looking for. The 94/95 was the first step to OBDII but the rear O2 is not used as it is in the full on OBDII and will not throw a code.

NO!!!
Reread FD2BLK's post. He was really quite clear in what he said. Swap the two front O2s, side for side, with each other. If your trouble code follows the suspect sensor, replace it. If the same code reappears, the fault is with something other than the sensor. If so, get your FSM out and start trouble shooting.
The R&R of an O2 is as simple as it seems. Disconnect the pigtail (wire) and unscrew the O2. Put a dab of anti-seize on the threads, ONLY, before screwing it back in. If you have to install a new O2 forget the anti-seize. They come with it installed.
Lefty-loosey. Righty-tighty.
