Preliminary Shop Manuals
Anybody have an opinion on the preliminary (white) shop manuals? Are they significantly inferior to the 'final' (2 x red) manuals? I have an offer for the white manual for 1992 for about $30 - and wonder whether I should spend an extra $80 to get the 2 x red ones.

The preliminary manuals are just that. They are meant to supplement the previous year's manuals until the new ones are released. They are not complete and only contain updates.

Don't waste your money on the preliminary, Murphy's law states that no matter what you are looking for, you won't find it in the prelim.
Get the red cover manuals. They are the same ones shipped to dealers for use by the service techs.
