auxiliary fuse box location 1988
I blew the fuse for the theft deterrent module and I need to find the auxiliary fuse box. Manual says behind center instrument panel but I can't seem to locate it.

If you mean the module itself, it's behind the Bread Box. I don't know of any fuses back there - they're all in the fuse box - what makes you suspect a fuse? No Security Light? No Start?

mine is under the right (passenger) hush panel. So, under the glove box area. This is a '90 though... buy yourself a helms manual & many of those secrets will be revealed to you...

I was installing a keyless entry and the security light stopped. I am not getting any power to the constant 12v pink wire to the TDM. The GM factory wiring manual shows the power should come from the auxiliary fuse box. All fuses in the main fuse box are good. It says it should be behind the center I/P. It is tight in there so I was looking for a little bit of help.
Thanks for your help.

As I am parting an 88 I will tell you, there are 4 fuses behind the information center. You will have to remove it to access them. They are hatch/auto-Theft(thats the one ! ) And cinj (dont even know what that is for !) one empty, they are left center directly behind the DIC. Good luck !

Thanks everyone..............I changed the blown fuse last night and the security light is now working. But now I can't get the power door locks to work. When I installed the keyless entry system I screwed up the wiring on the door lock switch connections. I think I may have a) blown both door lock motors, b) blown the TDM or c) blown the VKE 1000 keyless entry module. The circuit breaker is good but the system will only lock manually. Any thoughts? I am going to remove the complete VKE 1000 and see if it works then.
