lt1 w/ lt4 hotcam, lt4 valve springs, rockers
I was told that the stock lt1 valve springs and rockers will soon fail after installing an lt4 hotcam in my 93 lt1. Hotred94 informed me that lt4 valve springs, caps and shims are needed.
Now onto the rocker arms... I'm looking at crane 10758-16, 1.6, self aligning rocker arms. Will these fit mechanically? Will the stock valve covers also fit?

It is my understanding that the stock LT1 valve springs will bind with the 525 lift the hot cam and 1.6 rockers give you. Why dont you just purchase the hotcam kit. It includes the springs, retainers, roller rockers, and cam needed to do the conversion. I think its about $500.00

Those rockers will work, but they are essentially the exact same thing you get with the hot cam kit. If you figure the cam is $200 and the crane rockers are $300 from Summit, you've got $500 invested and you haven't got the springs yet. Makes the Hot Cam kit a pretty good sounding deal.

How long ago did you buy it? Have you taken it out of the plastic yet? I am sure if you didn't they would be more than happy to take it back in exchange for something more expensive...

You have to trim the drip tabs off of the inside of the valve covers to fit. Its an easy fix.
