Default GM Hot Cam Lift

Does anyone happen to know the lift of a GM Hot Cam. I believe it's the one used in a LT4. And is the number with a 1.5 rocker ratio or 1.6 ratio?? Thanks for information.

The hotcam is rated at .525 lift with 1.6 rockers. It was designed as a off road cam (non emissions) upgrade for the LT4. It is a bigger cam then the LT4 came with.

Some guys are even running 1.7 rockers with the "Hot Cam", which would bring the lift to .558".

I have considered this myself. What brands of rockers come in 1.7 and are a bolt in for the LT1?

Flatlander racing sells Scorpion 1.7 RollerRockers that fit on the factory 3/8" studs. Make sure you have good springs if you do a Hot Cam with 1.7's.

I considered this also, the one's I liked jessels (I think 7/16' only) w/lifters etc. was very expensive. I would think while you are in there to swap studs anyways, but is there enough room on a stock LT-1 head to use 1.7's?

The 1.7s fit fine, as long as you have the drip tabs taken off of the composite covers, which were standard on LT4, and I think thats how they come if you buy them now. The metal LT1 valve covers I dont know.
I ran the hot cam with 1.7 Scorpions with NO clearance issues with composite factory LT1 covers.

I remember when you had the hot cam on that set-up and it ran great as I remember. Mine has enough room but they are AFR heads etc. I should have specified (sorry) was loking at the idea of pushrod clearance and not using oversize valves and pushrods to accomodate the 1.7 on the stock head configuration.
How's the new set-up (cam)runnin /workin for you?

My new cam is running very well, thanks to a great tune by PCMforLess.
Of course here in Hawaii it doesnt show well due to the track being kinda crappy. But an 11.61 at 119.3mhp and consistent 11.6's, I cant complain. My 60' times could use some work, and getting the road race suspension off may help. But again, I cant complain.

THAT'S GREAT!! doesn't really surprise me, your car has been a solid 11 sec. car for awhile, trapping almost 120 ..very nice. I know that Xenergy cam has got some 'Kahunas' .....so to speak
*edit* to the original post, wasn't trying to pirate your thread

Scorpion 1.7's

These are for the 7/16th studs.

There is likely no way that these would clear the '92 factory magnesium valve covers, but they clear any of the F-body LT1 covers just fine as well.
