That kit looks really nice but when you look closer that rear spoiler is a little too long and there are no side vents so how does that hot air get out of the engine bay?

it doesnt look like it the pics, but there are vents that are blended in nice and that panel across the lower portion of the rear , is a grill, not claiming it to be better , just simular and different. they were on the car when i bought it, took awhile to find the company that made them. the rear spoiler is actually'stock' 87 corvette

Years ago I worked for a guy off and on named Bruce Osborne in Indiana. About 10 years ago I know he had an original Shinoda/ Mears Kit new in box, and also had another Shinoda/Mears Kit that was painted to install on another car, but was never installed, but just painted. I have lost contact with him and have been trying to find someone that knows him back in Indiana, as I bet those kits are around someplace. He ran a shop in Downtown Indianapolis about 15 years ago, and when he closed his shop, he had a shop behind his house in Wanamaker Indiana, and that was where I saw the kits. This was about 10 years ago.

I like the whole kit too bad it was so expensive, but ,if someone re-created it for a far lower price i think it would sell.Larry shinoda also did the boss mustang.

I bought this scoop of a fellow that owned a diving shop in Michigan I think. He was on the forum a couple of years ago. Then I bonded it to the original hood.

How much would we be willing to pay for a full kit?

1000? 1500? 2500?

And can anyone reproduce this kit in that price range?

The kit should be easy to reproduce because there are no hard to manage curves... Someone who knows fiberglass could do this pretty easily I think...

The kit really needs work to fit well, which is where the real expense arises.

We are talking about taking molds off my new install, but doubt it is worth it.
