I have the Power Effects exhaust, around $900.00 installed. Looks nice, sounds great (very loud).
As far as what's the best, dunno

I have the Mid America "off road" true dual exhaust pipes (no cat) going in to Borla Mufflers.
It sounds terrific, resonates so bad it makes your vision fuzzy and scares women and small children. I love it.
However, doing it again, I would use different mufflers than Borla. Not worth $500 IMO, and they were a bear to get lined up since I wasn't usning a Borla Y pipe.
Also, the above might not be a good idea if you have emissions testing in your area.

My exhaust consists of:
-Mufflex custom 2 1/2" SS front Y-pipe.
-Random Tech. cat.
-TPIS cat-back: 3 1/2" into dual 3" pipes with dual 3-chamber Flow Masters.
I like the power gains, the sound and the ZR-1 look. The only issue was the fitment of the TPIS cat-back, but Denny at Mufflex resolved that in short order. Yesterday I sent an e-mail to TPIS on this issue but have no response as yet.
This setup installed was about $1,100; 1/4 mi gains are posted on my site.

I am a pretty big fan of the Borlas and the Power Effects. They are all going to affer very similar gains in power. The way to choose the exhaust is by sound and looks. Also, do not listen to them on the computer. It is just not the same. Find someone in your area with a system that you are insterested in and go listen to it in person.

I went with the Corsa. They don't sound too impressive when you rev the engine (not on my stock LT1 anyway) but they do have a nice deep rumble when you punch it. They fit nice and I think the tips look good too.

Not sure what the best exhaust is, but Flowmasters satisfy me. I've got the 3-chambered jobs, had the old mufflers cut off & Flowmasters put in. No fancy cats or resonators- just mufflers & they sound good. Nice deep rumble with a significantly improved throttle response- all for under $300.
