Default Dyno tuning a L98 in the Chicago area?

Anyone know who dyno tunes L98 cars in the Chicago area? Not looking to convert to FAST or any kind of DFI. Everyone i'vr run across only does DFI, LS1/LS2, or LT1/LT4 only. No more L98/Tpi.

tnt,

My friend and I are in Northwest suburbs. He has an L98 and I have a Xfire. We could both help with tuning.

Thanks for the offer. Do you have acces to a dyno? I have a Ed Wright chip and it runs pretty good, but I have a bad transmission (700R4) and am debating selling the car or replacing the trans and getting on the dyno to fine tune my mail order chip.

tnt,

I have a lot of respect for Ed and his work, but IMO I don't believe you can really tune a motor by remote control. I'm pretty sure Ed would second that opinion. Even without access to a dyno, you can do a good job tuning for power especially with a WB O2 and proper scantool. I am currently using the Zeitronix ZT-2. Doesn't cost much more than a couple of hours on a dyno costs. Put that together with a G-tech and tune for real world conditions. You are going to find that almost any change you make to the drivetrain will affect the tune. So you'll need the tools anyway.

thanks again. If I get the trans fixed i'll take you up on the offer. I have a extra o2 bung opening on my passenger side exhaus bank so it would be easy to hook up a wideband o2 there. You have any idea what dyno time cost?

At Street Stuff in Addison it runs about $120/hour plus $50 for the WB.

So street stuff lets people tune using their dyno? Or do they do the tuning in house?
