How do you get to the *$%^#@! catalytic converter bolts??? (95 A4)
OK, I've decided to go with the Random Technologies converters, but now my dilemna is how to get the damned things off! The visible bolts were a snap, but now I see brackets bolted to the frame, and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get to...I think. Anyone else tried it? I think the exhaust on this car may be the death of me!!!! :boxing

Re: How do you get to the *$%^#@! catalytic converter bolts??? (TNTC4VETTE)
TNTC4VETTE,
This is from the factory manual for 95.
1. Remove complete exhaust system.
2. Bolts, right hand three way converter brace. (cat).
3. Bolt & stud left hand twc brace to clutch housing. (manual trans).
4. Nuts twc to exhaust manifold.
5. Twc's.
6. Studs left hand twc brace to twc.
7. Bolts right hand twc brace to clutch housing. (manual trans).
8. Right hand twc brace.
TWC=Three way converter. Looks as if after removing the exhaust system braces are accessible. Disregard references to manual trans. Manual shows one brace (each side) for A4.
Hope this helps a little.

Lou,
Thanks for the info. Looks as though I need to get back under there and pull the rest of the system out! Thanks again!
