My horn doesn't beep when I hit it but it does when I trip the alarm.
I need to fix my horn to pass insepction. When I punch the pad, nothing. When I trip the larm, they work fine. Any ideas?

pull the round center cap on the steering wheel and make sure the wire running into the metal contact on the steering wheel itself is making a good connection. it comes right off with a light tug

The theft deterrent controller and the horn switch are in parallel and ground the horn relay coil. Your horn switch or the two wires going to it (one goes to ground and one goes to the horn relay, both are black) are defective.

Take the cap off see if the plastic piece connecting the metal strip is broken. (indicated by the red circle)

Well, I popped the center cap off and couldn't find anything broken. Upon further inspection of how it works, I noticed that the side contacts in the wheel (shown at 2 o'clock and seven o'clock in John's pic) were bent under the inside rim. I popped them up and now the horn works fine, passed inspection with no problems this morning.
