Default serpentine bypass ?

Is it possible for the serpentine belt to bypass the AC compressor?

My AC compressor is going out. I want to bypass it before it locks up on me, and snaps the serpentine belt. I have already unplugged the compressor, but it is squealing.

If the bypass is possible, what size (or better yet, what part number) serpentine belt would I need?

Also, what would be the path for the new belt to route around the rest of the other pulleys?

For about a year I ran a shorter belt (Don't know the part number anymore, sorry) that bypassed the A/C (I normally don't use it, and it freed a couple of HP for the track.. hheehhe).

It ran at the same routing as stock was, but it wrapped around the tensioner.. Worked fine, no clip, nice and tight..

I got it by measuring the stock belt length, then getting another belt that was I think 6" shorter. I had to make 2 trips to the parts store and bought 4 belts by the time I found the perfect one.. Then just returned the other ones..
