I took of a rear spoiler on my 87 vert before. If you lay down on the ground under the rear of the car and look up.. You can see where the bolts go through and the nuts holding them in place. I just got a long enough extension and socket wrench to twist them off and pull the spoiler off from the top. Just need to plug up the holes.

BTW: It looks like your car is black. If so, filling the holes will require following with a painting of the entire rear bumper and possibly the rear quarters. (That's because black can't be successfully spot-blended). Even if the bolt holes don't go through the rear panels, vibration/wear are likely to show where the wing used to sit!

If it is a true Greenwood wing, then no you can not do it with just removing a couple of thru bolts. The greenwood wing bracket extends down to the subframe member. The rear bumper will have to be removed to get at those brackets.
Post a pic of the wing, and I may have a use for it.

I took my wing off my 87...not a greenwood. The bolts were accessable from underneath using 2 long extensions. The wing did leave some minor scuff marks on the rear deck. I was able to buff them out.
I put some black plastic plugs with black plastic screws in the wing holes. I left it this way until I had the whole car painted. I figured it was much easier than trying to patch them and added a cool effect to the back deck.
Hope this helps

I have the same issue, were you ever able to remove it and if so how? Personally I hate the thing. Stock is beautiful!

Leaps, you did nothing wrong, we use to "not" be able to post on old threads over 45 days old. They got rid of that rule and now we have a ton of very old threads poping up which we read , then discover that it's an old thread and that we wasted our time reading it...Again , you did nothing wrong, you were just going by the rules we have now..........WW
