What size injectors for a stock 85?
I did the search, that just raises more questions. I need to replace my injectors, It seems that most on the forum agree that the fords are the way to go. What size do I need for my stock 85? Is there a certain model that is better than another (ford)?

85 injectors are 24lb/hr, but rated at a different psi than the later injectors for L98.
You can get Ford SVO #24s and an adjustable regulator.

Dude.. I just bought teh white one, It's a 92.
I've owned my other vette, an '85 for 11 years..
I suggest you search the forum about what size injector the '85 has and you will find tons of posts confirming what some of us are telling you..
On the other hand, do whatcha want, but then don't ask people for info if you won't take it ...

Yes the 24s are for 85, but the 22's that were used in later years are basically equivalent, the difference is the PSI where they were rated. Therefore the computer can adjust between the 2, and you shouldnt run rich or lean.
I always recommend an AFPR, that way you might fix any problems you have in the future (barring failure) with the A/F ratio. The computer can adjust to the larger 24lb Ford injectors, it just needs a bit of help that the AFPR provides. Not everyone will have problems with the larger injectors running rich, or else we wouldnt be recommending you use them.

The only addition I have is that, the '85s had the lower psi injectors, the later were rated at 22lbs at higher, 38psi I think. So at stock FuelPressure of 35psi, a 22lbs injector will only be running 20.5lbs/hr..

Um... apples to apples, the 85 injectors are higher flow than the 86 injectors.
If you have an AFPR you can run 86 injectors at the 86 pressure on your 85.
If you run 86 injectors at the 85 pressure, you won't get enough fuel.
RRT is running 85 injectors at the 86 pressure and getting too much fuel.
Aw ****, I made it more complicated.
