Thanks. I was pretty happy for what I have done to it and knowing the clutch was trying to give up the ghost, LOL.

I've added 1.6-1 roller tip rockers to my otherwise stock 120k mile L83. Auto, 3.07's, and cold air mod w/K&N. At Houston Raceway Park at 68F and almost sea level:

14.7@92mph followed by the same 2 more times. Previous best was 15.2@89-the rockers really make a difference!

It was a good day. 11/25/06 Sacramento Raceway

Time MPH 60'
13.91 99.x 1.96
13.91 98.x 2.00
13.95 98.x 1.98
13.89 99.8 1.97****
13.95 99.7 2.01
13.99 99.7 2.09

All runs were made shifting the A4 manually. It was fun pulling a car length out of the hole on most of my runs.

We made a bunch of other runs tuning the A4's governor that were not worth mentioning here.

86 700R4 3.07 Stock 135K mi, MSD6a & wires, cut lid, Prominator and tune by Alvin. Street tires, Magnaflow and Borla catback.

Its missing the long tubes - Drag Radials and the free mods - the post in Coasters spreadsheet should show that stuff

Wet - NOS plate - but I added a lot of essentials like a 6al etc - I wouldn't go 150 shot without safeties - what I am trying to say is do not think you can do this for 500 bucks add another 1k at least

I'm not sure if I still have any slips to read, but I remember the basic numbers.

1987 4+3 Transmission

Lid, Foil, 1000cfm TB, Ported Plenum, Big Mouth IM, AFR 195 heads, TPIS cam, TPIS Long Tubes, High Flow Cat, Borla Y Pipe, Dynomax Mufflers, Hypertech Ignition, Retuned ECU, Dual-Friction Clutch, and super cheap street tires.

I ran 13.3x @ 106.xx mph /w a 2.0x 60' in Sac, California

I took off just like a stop light on the street so it wouldn't get hurt .

Default New Best

I went to the Sacramento Raceway today 2/17/07 and made three runs. Last year the fastest run was 14.1. I changed two things before going to the track today. I installed March under drive pulleys and I pulled the cat (for today only) and installed a straight thru BIG PIPE I built myself. All other things are the same as last year, except I now have 214,000 miles on the car.

1st run
60 ft 2.092
1/8 8.747 @ 80.545
1/4 13.613 @ 99.478

2nd run broke out the rear end bad and shut it down

3rd run - dropped street tire pressure to 26
60 ft 2.122
1/8 8.808@ 80.649
1/4 13.663 @ 102.395

Got some new bests on my first day this year. Here's the info:

1/8: 8.141 sec @ 84.79 MPH
1/4: 12.767 @ 108.9 MPH

Density altitude: -600 feet

Changes in car: New chip from Alvin PCM4LESS, new mufflers
