There was no "Ruby Metallic Red" in 88. There was a "Dark Red Metallic" that was listed as RPO 74U/74L. The only time that "Ruby" was used in a color name was for the 1993 40th Anniversary cars that were produced in a specific Ruby Red
If you have the RPO listing under the console lid or under the rear storage compartment, look at the very bottom of the decal for a "WA" code. It will be a 4-digit number and any auto paint shop can mix that color for you from the WA code. They can most likely even use the RPO74U to find the color.
The name of the Dark Metallic Red color changed between the model years as did the tone of the color.
