Default Rattling sound at the frontend during hard turns

During an autocross event last saturday I killed my front wheel bearings Hubs.
There is a play in the hubs that I can feel even without lifting the car.
....yes....Ebay hubs... and they have at max 1000 miles.
I noticed now that turning to right (loading the left front side...) I can hear a grinding sound. I removed the wheel and I found some metal shaving sitting in the internal side of the rim. (the same will be at the opposite side turning to left).
The problem is that I can't see where there is contact and which are the parts in contact!
Please help me to understand how a loose wheel bearing can allow a grinding sound from the frontend.
Thanks
