What benefits are there to bumping up fuel pressure?
Was wondering what does bumping the fuel pressure do on our vettes?

In short, increasing the fuel pressure makes your injectors act bigger by pushing more fuel through them. I would only recommend increasing the fuel pressure when you have a reason to...I.E., you ran the car on the dyno and see that it's running a bit lean, or you scan the car and find that it's running a bit lean.
However, you need to be careful when doing this because increasing the fuel pressure will add more fule through the entire RPM range, whereas your car might only be lean in a certain spot. So increasing the fuel pressure may fix one spot in your fuel curve, but at the same time may screw up another...
I have played with fuel pressure settings on my car quite a bit and after a lot of testing found out that the stock settings of around 43Lbs (for a naturally aspirated LT4) works about the best.

This can help with those who use larger injectors who need to turn down the pressure in conjunction with a chip tune, it can also help optimize stock systems
But you shouldnt mess with it unless a tuner tells you or you are where you can do real testing, like a dragstrip or dyno.
