Default '90 Brake Job Advice

Hello Everyone,

OK, I finally got all the parts together to do a break job on my '90 L98. I'm starting to go back together and I've run into a hurdle. The FSM talks about an adhesive on the caliper bracket bolts, what exactly is this adhesive? I found out that these bolts are a 10.9 grade, 14x2 bolt and can be purchased at any hardware store with a good selection of fasteners. You have to pay $6.50 apiece to buy them from GM, which is the reason why I got them from another source. Any ideas on what this adhesive is and where I can get it? Thanks in advance!

Take care,

Adam.

It's basically blue locktite. Ignore GM. I'd even reuse the ones you have if they look decent.

I can't see replacing the bolt, just for the thread lock. The bolts themselves don't look that highly stressed.
