Mutt '86?
Ok folks, here is a question for you. As most of you know, in 1986 Chevy made some mods in the later part of the year, thusly there are differences between an early 86 and late 86. However, by reading all of the emails, I don't know what to conclude. Early 86- Iron heads, different roof mount setup, and absense of ABS(?is that right?). Late 86- Aluminum heads, new roof pattern, and ABS. I have a late model 86 with the newer roof mount setup, ABS, but iron heads. Mine is the only vette I have heard of that is a late 86 with iron heads.
Anyone have any ideas?

My early '86 has iron heads and ABS. I also have a rare option listed on my sticker " Highly Styled Engine Compartment - NO CHARGE ". I can't believe I was one of the lucky ones :lol:

First of all, I know of no '86s that didn't come with ABS. The roof mounts, I have now clue about. As for the heads, what do you consider late? I'm assuming yours is a coupe, is the Sequence Number higher than 19200? This is about where it is thought aluminum heads started on the coupes.
