Feel Like I'm going over Rumble Strips when I accelerate
When I am going 40 or more mph and I stomp on the gas it feels like I am going over rumble strips that you see on the sides of interstates. I let up just a second and then step on it again and the feeling goes away. Any thoughts?

This came up last summer. It happens after the TC has locked up and you accelerate to the unlocking point. We even had David F. thinking about this one. The best we could guess is that it is the torque converter lockup solenoid mounted in the valve body. My car does the exact same thing as do several other members' cars. We all sort of decided that if we are going to cruise at low speed (<50) leave the car in drive. Also, tapping the brake pedal will unlock the converter too.
