Will a 4+3 flywheel fit a 1-piece rear main seal block???
The Richmond 6-speed conversion is going to be expensive enough as it is, so im looking to cut the cost of an aluminum flywheel and Centerforce clutch. If I have to go back and replace them in a year or so that’s fine, but I just want to get the conversion done. I’m looking to use a new replacement flywheel, and a standard clutch.

Yep that helps. I wasn’t sure of when Chevy switched over to the one-piece rear main seal, but I wonder if there were any differences in the block or parts used when the whole 4+3 to ZF change went down at Chevy :chevy

Well, during my search for flywheels im coming across all types. Id like to keep my stock mini starter after the conversion. Does the 1990 Corvette Auto. Have a 168-tooth flexplate? Does anyone know how many teeth the 84-88 4+3 had? :chevy

I believe that all C4's had a 153 tooth flywheel or flexplate. The 4+3 cars were 153 tooth too and the one-piece seal version arrived with the 86 MY. The 4+3 flywheel was a factory light-weight flywheel only used on the 4+3 Vette and some V-8 F-body applications. It can be replaced by a std weight flywheel if so desired. Here some GM P/N's and prices if you're interested:
