Default 92 Auto Headlights

My 1992 has DRL and auto headlights. I would like to disconnect the auto headlights so everytime I drive under a bypass they don't go on for 3 seconds and then off again. Does anyone know any easy way to disconnect them making them easy to re-connect if I ever sell (God forbid) the car?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Extremely simple, and cost about 30 cents to do....

To disable the headlights from poping up, carefully pull the light sensor located directly above the speedometer out of the dash to expose the 2 wires running in to it.
Place a 100 ohm resistor in parallel (ie between the two wires) with the sensor. Use electrical tape to tape it up. Then stick the sensor back in the dash. Now you are in complete control of when your headlights. You turn then on and off.
Takes about 30 minutes. Works perfectly and now your lights won't pop up when you go into a tunnel, under a bridge, or drive into your garage. Think of the bushings you will save -ha
