Default heads/cam choices on a 1990 L98

Well, summer's coming around again, and I'm in the mood to do some more Corvette mods. In addition to what I have in my sig, I'm looking to get new heads and cam. I plan on doing that this summer, and over the winter I'll either mod a HSR or get an LT1 converted intake/miniram setup.

So, I had a few questions.

1.) What are the best heads for the money out there? I was thinking some Trick Flow heads, or maybe Edelbrock? I don't see too manyI would need that. What other choices do I have for the sub-1500 dollar range?

2.) I have these pistions: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=STL%2DWH423NP40&view =1&N=700+150+"]http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=STL%2DWH423NP40&view =1&N=700+150+"]http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=STL%2DWH423NP40&view =1&N=700+150+. Now, with the dome top, the compression was supposed to remain the same. I wanted a 58cc head, to keep the same compression, but most seem to be the 64cc heads. How much would this change compression, and how much would that reduce my power?

3.) Would a .560 lift cam with 2.02 intake valves hit the pistons? Could anyone tell, or does anyone know...or is it really dependant on the particular motor?

4.) Now cams. I want something in the 220/230 intake/exhaust duration with a 112 LSA and around .525-.575 lift. Is this a good choice for a future car that should rev to about 6200RPMS? I want some low end, but I want it mainly as a 2200 to 6200 RPM powerband.

5.) Finally, do they have any heads/cam packages online?

Suggestions greatly encouraged!

I heard the 113 heads were some of the worst flowing factory heads, so want to go a different route. What kind of power numbers should I expect? Would 50hp to the wheels be too unreasonable?

Guys seem to like the AFR heads; I believe they can be had with 58cc chambers and should indicate max valve lift with stock pistons.

The stock #113s flow to mid-hi 300chp range; ported they will flow to over 400chp.

That cam sounds reasonable for good mid range power; unless you mod the bottom end you can't use power much above 6k RPM.

Until you decide on a new intake you could siamese the stock base to take good advantage of the new heads & cam.

Of course you will need FL headers and true duals to take advantage of the new setup.

I was thinking AFR too, but I don't know how much they run all said and done.

Right now I have a siamesed base, Hooker long tubes, and 1.6RR.

Does anyone have any info on head comparisons, mainly the Trick Flow Kenny D. 195cc heads, as opposed to ones like AFR and others? Mainly flow numbers, opinions, etc?

Edit: Also has the hypertenuic pistons/rods and 4 bolt mains.
