Mine were on the car when I bought it (three years ago), and I carefully looked the entire care over for signs of rust. I particularly examined the exhaust because I really liked the look and sound.

I'm in Southern California, and the only water this car sees is in by driveway at bath time. But the KBD's are rusting badly.

Central Coaster - I have read some of your posts. What kind of exhaust set up do you have, and do you have to modify it at smog time? Thanks!

I ditched the glasspacks, they were clamped onto and rusted to the stock Y so bad I ended up tossing the stock y pipe.

I'm running some massaged factory headers, stock catless front Y, high flow 3" cat, dynomax rear y and muffler elims.

It's smog legal, and passes sniffer without any of the smog pump and air lines functional. But I bolt them on anyways for the visual inspection.
