Default Where To Buy X Pipe For Lt1 ?

I am going to have an X pipe installed to replace my resonator. Where can I buy an X pipe to make the install as easy as possible ? Thanks

I thought about having an exhaust shop fab something up but I don't want to get ripped off. Ideas on this route ??

1/4 inch of gap, yes.... plus you'll need to spread the pipes (a lot)

I just ordered a 3" magnaflow "X" pipe from a local performance shop for $80.00. Can't wait to install it. I hope it makes the exhaust sound more agressive.

You won't really notice any sound difference. Only slightly deeper at WOT. That's where I started and after 2 weeks had the muffs eliminated.

I may have to go with eliminators if this doesn't give me the sound I am looking for. I do want to keep the LT1 tips tho!

I don't want the LT1 tips, but I did it kind of spur of the moment so I just had them weld those back on until I find stainless tips I want. It was done for $50.

I can have the tips cut off and welded on if I remove the mufflers. Much cheaper than ordering everything.

If you are looking for an X-Pipe that is really made correctly for your car, you need to get one from Dr. Gas. They are not cheap but they are right.

Joe,
I'm just cheap and like doing it myself. Also I have heard the LT1 tips other manufacturers use don't have the same quality as the stock tip.

AHHH! I see! Well if I had a welder and a pipe bender I would love to do it myself as well! But it looks like Im going to be taking your root and how a muffler shop weld me up some deletes and utilize the stock tips!
