C4 Tech/Performance L98 Corvette and LT1 Corvette Technical Info, Internal Engine, External Engine

Anybody with C5 wheels on C4? Opinions needed.

So what everyone is saying then is that C5 wheels will fit on C4 with no spacers? how about C6 to C4? Thanks

No.

C5 wheels will fit 88-96 fine without adapters or spacers.

They will 'fit' 84-87 too, but will tuck in too far (generally by about 3/4"-1.25" depending on the wheel) and look crappy.

84-87 cars will require an adapter or spacer to look right.



kinkajou, To mount those C5 wagon wheels on your vette I recommend 1" adapters in rear, and 1.25" in front. You could also put 1.25" in rear too, it will give a little more aggressive look, but most vettes have the body & suspension off center in back, so one sidewall might stick out a tad while the other doesn't. No big deal, maybe a little more mud on the fender on one side. I recommend lug AND hub centered spacers. These come with tapered lug holes and a flange protruding from the center. They generally go for $75-100 per pair.
