Will '96 GS front calipers clear '89 wheels?
Hey guys,
Looks like I've got to replace the rotors and pads this year on my '89 coupe (w/J55 HD brakes).
I've looked at various upgrades (C5, Wilwood, Brembo, MovIt, etc...) and due to cost restraints I'm thinking about just upgrading the front calipers to a set of '96 GS calipers (the ones with the cast word "CORVETTE"). Not a big upgrade, I know, but they look cool and they will at least be marginally better than the stockers.
My concern however is whether they will clear the stock '89 "salad shooter" style wheels. I don't like spacers and I don't want to buy new wheels. Anyone know if the GS calipers will clear these wheels?
Thanks very much in advance!
