Which wires? What color? What pins? Relay coil or relay contact power? If you want good help, you have to supply good information.
The fuel pump relay is powered by two places, one from the ECM (grn/wh), supplies +12v to the relay coil for 2 seconds when you turn on the ignition. The second supplies +12v to the relay contacts (orange).

Mark -

Trying to fix electrical gremlins on a C4 without the aide of the Helm Factory Service Manual is damned near impossible.

Do yourself a favour - unass $100 and buy the ****ing manual.

And also when cranking and running.

Baksu, When are you checking for power at the relay? On what relay terminals.

Not to sound dumb, but are you checking the right relay? On 4+3 cars the fuel pump relay is right behind the overdrive relay, and is the exact same p/n.
