Default wiring harness question

i am wanting to switch over from the f body to the corvette platform completely. i already have a 96 lt4.. i was looking into 90 and 91's becasue i have a gen 1 smallblock that i was wanting to a 91 and was noting that the 1990-1991 years are more expensive than an 89 or 92-94.. now my question is, is can you swap a 90 or 91 ecm/harness in a 92 or 93? i know anything is possible but does anyone know how if at at all difficlt it is or how different they are as far as how they attach to the inside of the car?

At a minimum you would need to change the dash harness, engine harness, ECU, BCM, and cluster. Probably a few other control modules as well. The entire dash has to come out. It's difficult to tell from your post exactly why you would want to do this to a '92 or '93 to go back to the '90 or '91 technology but I can tell you first hand for the amount of work required it would be much cheaper to just buy the car you want.

it would be because i have all gen 1 small block drivetrain ready to go.. and early lt1 technology isn't that much more advanced than the tpi. i have decided to just use as much of it that can interchange with my lt4 and sell the rest.. no need for two money pits.

In case you're not aware the C4 drivetrain is completely unique to the vehicle. The rear end and transmission from the F body will not work in the C4.
