High CR, High TQ Ministarters, what brand?
I have the stock 92-96 Vette Mini starter, my last one went 3 years exactly and died. Some of the issue could be header clearance/heat, I have Hooker 2151's with a starter blanket
I doubt the stockers are made to crank a tight engine11.1 CR .
What are you High CR guys using? I don't need to know about stock, because I've got one of those, thanks.
2hp or 3hp rating?
TIA

Hey Buddy,
A co worker of mine years ago got one from Summit racing.I believe it was a 3HP unit,hi tq mini starter.Never had any problems with it.
That being said,Look what I found for less...he offers a one year warranty on it.

Hey Bill, 3-hp should do the trick, thanks for the help
I notice in looking at a lot of different brands that some claim that heat does not affect them due to a ball bearing design, dunno?
I would like to find a staggered mount to so I can use the 400ci holes, but I can use the in line type since I drilled and tapped the in line hole too.

Hey Buddy,
If you dont get alot of replies here, maybe the C3 guys might have some suggestions.I have no idea how them starters are built to withstand heat even though theyre powerful for its size.
