car will be here this week.ican have it fixed in a good weekend of work.after that i will take it to a local speed shop and let them check this car out and put it on the rollers.the thing i hate most is not knowing exactly what has been put in this car.if its even close to those power numbers im happy.if i can contact last owner i think that will shed a lot of light on combination,it seems to be what everybody i have talked to so far ,what it claims to be,but who knows for sure until its put on the dyno. that will happen in a couple of weeks thanks for info on just what can be seen

you have a good foundation to build off of, even if its blowing blue smoke - you could sell off the parts like the SR etc.

Good luck with it

Sounds to me like somebody did their homework and did a really nice combination...

I guess they really did their homework. Also that one picture with that 2 into 1 exhaust pretty much clinched it for me that that car didn't make 370 rwhp with a SR if it is indeed a 350 ci.

Joe, you may want to refigure your chp numbers. You have a stick 15%, he has an auto 20%. I still have a large problem with this being a NA 350 motor. I'll put my money on me and say it ain't so.

Don, when are you going to dyno this car again? I really want to see what you have, my guess with the limited info will be 310 rwhp and 400 rwtq.

What's up w/ the dyno sheet in the ebay link?? HP and torque lines do not intersect at 5250 rpm.

I don't need to re-figure mine...

We tuned the engine on a dyno, then put it into the car and chassis dynoed it. My numbers are solid.

Seeing the bottle bracket makes one wonder if they were using spray for the dyno sheets though...

Yep...and even IF it needed a little freshening, it still is a good deal for the money

Throw another $2-3k (tops) into freshening the motor, and you have a beast that has a motor you know what's been done to it.

depending on how that motor sounds and preforms i may put a 383 stroker kit in it .i really want to talk to previous owner find out what heads are on it,what cam is in it,and how much he used the spray.im not a fan of nitrus and i hope it wasnt used a lot on this car.and find out if dyno numbers were on the juice.but i would think higher numbers would be produced with a 100 shot of nos.but it is likely it was.this thing will be like a christmas present not sure whats inside until i open it up.

car is on its way ,i talked to dealer that sold me car and asked about contacting previous owner,he said he would get his number for me.but one better he asked if i wanted to talk to a guy who worked at the shop where work was done on car.i talked to him this evening heres what he said, car is a 383 thats a little over a year old,it has an agressive cam but not sure exactly what it is,very good aftermarket aluminum heads, headers, big feuel injectors,it did have nos on it he said it was a 75 hp shot but it only made a 50 hp differance on dyno, the dyno sheet with car he said is definitely not with nos, with the nos numbers were close to 425 rwhp and near 500 rwt.the only problem he knew of was that it had to have a new computer due to a problem with custom tuning on old one.as far as he was concerned i got an unbeliveable deal on this car.dont want to wear this thread out i will put in on the rollers as soon as i can ,.we will all see what its got.if its got what its claimed to have thats a heck of motor.
