Getting rid of the Breadbox

You have to take off the hush panel (carpeted piece by your shins) then you can get to the bolts that hold the breadbox on. Most Vette catalog's have the replacement panel for the breadbox removal. Pipe

When I worked on mine I went through the fuse area with a hand held saw blade and sawed the screws off.
The panel I used rivets and made angle bracket to make it stronger. There are no squeeks.

I have a new never used kit in the box from Midamerica that came with my 1989. The instructions are with it and tell you how to install. I will sell it for $40.00 with ground ship. You will need to provide the little piece of flex A/C duct, I don't have it. You can buy at local auto parts for a buck or two. PM me if interested.

Are all the dash panels the same color?
I seem to have overlooked that until I was looking at the MidAmerica website provided and noticed that there wasn't any colors listed.

nono, no painting of interior pieces for me. I just want that bread box gone. I get tired of explaining to people what it was supposed to be.
I'll have principles from the companies I represent come out and visit clients with me...........each time I have to into the story of what it is and what it is supposed to be yadyadayada.
I wonder if I could put this on my expense report
THAT and I wish I could get a bit more leg room for the passenger. I wonder if there is a way to make the cushions on the passenger seat lower profile.

I seem to recall seeing a kit that made the breadbox into a small glove compartment.... Can't remember who made it ...
