Default 4L60 shifts at 3500 RPM's from 1st to 2nd

I have a 93, at full throttle it shifts from 1st to 2nd at 3500 rpm's. from 2nd to 3rd it shifts at 5500. I just got done adjusting the TV cable and throttle cable per the factory shop manual. It did not make any difference, any ideas?

Default Did u check the fluid level?

Check and make sure you have the correct fluid level in the tranny. Incorrect fluid levels cause havoc in shift points.

Default EPROM or PCM problem?

Also has the EPROM been reprogrammed? Or have you checked if you have the correct PCM in your vette?

I just serviced the tranny last month, the fluid that came out of it was a little dark but not burned. The fluid level is correct, as far as the EPROM being changed or flashed I do not know. I thought the 93 tranny was not computer controlled other than the lockup function.

Sorry my mistake on the tranny ( the 94 corvettes came out with the newer computer controlled tranies ). It looks like you need to check the TV cable to see if its binding or internally broken. If it's still in good shape it's probably time to rebuild your tranny. You should consider getting a transmission rebuild kit.
