Well,

I gave up on tpis and tried to buy big mouth runners for a C4 from arizona speed and marine. They allegedly were the ones who made them for tpis. After 2 phone calls, 1 voice mail and 1 email, I finally got to talk with a ben benavides or benvanides or something.

What do you know? Not only was he dry, he put me on terminal hold and was at lunch when I called back 15 minutes later.

I guess between tpis and arizona speed and marine, we're surrounded by mather fargin iceholes everywhere ..... If it weren't for the rest of my life, I'd invest some time in copying the big mouth runners and have them made in china for less than half of the 435 az marine wants.

Amazing simply amazing. Are there any decent professional C4 parts manufacturers that actually don't treat their customers with contempt or disdain or is this something indemic to all the car parts business?

My impression so far is that PEOPLE in that business seem to be the weakest link between all the fancy ads and alleged great parts ... If people in the IT business acted this way, they be at home looking for a job (probably selling car parts ....) WoW!!!!!!

I didn't understand the title either but english is my 3rd language so no wonder

But, what I have read from the F-body forums AS&M runners are getting harder to get. People seem to be skeptic if they are even made anymore. Some talk about waiting for 6 months before canceling order etc.

I have always gotten a laugh out of the cost charged for those.

Use a LT1 manifold or miniram, if you can.

I have never had any good experiances with AS&M. I drove my car to Chandler Az with my first mild 421, to have them do a chip. It took them 3 days (while I stayed in a hotel), the car never ran right, and they were no help getting it resolved. So I bought a FAST system, and started doing my own tuning. I also talked to Jim the owner about the problems, and he was a complete first class ***HOLE. I would never deal with them again.

They cost me 4 weeks getting my car on the road this summer waiting for gaskets that were in stock--they just forgot to ship them.
I thought they were stuck in customs. It took several phone calls/emails before they finally shipped.

get the LPE/Accel runners. F TPIS and the horse they rode in on. Can't speak for AS&M, but again I'm taking the opportunity to say F TPIS.

Sorry for ranting. I'm really glad to hear that I'm not the only one who had a negative experience with these guys.

Oh well, I'll look at the other stuff. Thanks for the tip about accel etc.

Took me about five seconds, but I figured the title out easily enough.

There are a certain percentage of jerks in any sampling. You happened to get two in a row.............

Talk about bad luck.

about 8 years ago I brought a TB from AS&M. The car never idled right. The TB was sticky, so the car had a 2 stage idle.
AS&M was no help.

I had to use the AS&M TB as a core for another TB that I brought somewhere else !!!

I live in Mesa, AZ and had the same problem with Ben & that was over a year ago. The first time I walked in the owner greeted me and actually took me on a tour of the facility. Then he handed me off to Ben & I never heard another word. I currently have their runners & they will be available this Fall along with an Accel Base.
