As some of you may know from another thread im setting up a PowerDyne BD12 sc with a Tempo Designs kit. Engine is 383. Heads are AFR 195 75cc. Expected compression should be about 8.5. Intake will be the LT1 conversion.
I currently have 24lb injectors. Expected boost is only going to be 6--9 lbs.
I have a simular set up. i Use a TPI which runs at a lower RPM but I am running 12# of boost. I use 44# inj and they are maxed out. my 255 fuel pump would not keep up either and I saw D-Cycles 105%
Running a booster double pump now.
If I were you, I would get 42#+ maybe go to some 50's so you have a little room.
How many CFM is this supercharger going to flow?..........I run a p600b procharger flowing 1200 cfm at 60,000 rpm..........this on my 383 gives me about 10 psi.............I'm thinking your only going to see 4 to 5 psi........I have two brothers running powerdyne"s but there running them on motorcycle engine dunebuggies.........you can't over spin those babys or they will burn the internal belt..........now I,m not a powerdyne expert..........don't know the differrant models but they spin slow and the cfm is low.......what is your cfm?..........I run 36's with a FMU
mine is a BD-12. from what i can gather it should do 800 cfm at 9 psi. i expect 6 or 7 psi on this 2.93 pulley...from another thread max is about engine 5500 rpms with about 40k rotations.
this is my first experiment w/ sc. so i appreciate the help.
i m hoping that i can get this programmed with my DFI gen vii on a dyno, meth/water injection, afpr, and 36-42 lb injectors and walbro 255 and avoid a FMU etc. just want a simple, fun, easy install that adds about 75-100 hp. quiet, too... later on i can sell the kit on ebay and move on to what i really want and can not afford: an ATI Procharger! but i want to test the waters first.
