4.10 gears in ZR-1
I need some help. Are there any reputable shops in the Richmond Virginia area that I can trust to install 4.10 gears in my 1990 ZR-1. What I mean by trust is to be sure they are installed properly. What should I expect to pay for parts and labor including speed calibaration
Thanks

Prices vary, especially the labor to r&r the diff. and set up the gears.
Speedo calibration for 4.10s will put you into custom vss gears or an electronic ratio adaptor, which will add some extra cost.
I'd say it should be possible for under $1200 paying top dollar for labor. Estimated breakdown:
Gears: $300
R&R: $300
Set up: $300
Cal: $200
Misc: $100

I work over at Andrews AFB in Maryland. There is a guy over near there that quoted my $400 to install a set of gears in my car if I supplied the parts. I have no idea of how good he is except that one of the counter guys over at Speed Unlimited on Allentown Rd. said he was good with this type of work.
