Default Edelbrock LT4 intake on L98?

Most of us TPI guys know that an LT1 intake can be modified to be used with a small cap distributor and used on the L98, but what about the Edelbrock LT4 intake? Anyone mod one of these for use on the TPI L98 engine? Impossible?

The only difference between the LT1 intake and the LT4 intake is the LT4 has more metal at the top of the ports to seal better with the taller LT4 ports. It should bolt up just like a converted LT1, but there would be zero power gain over an LT1.

Do you supply an LT4 intake if requested?

I prefer to stay away from LT4 manifolds because a). they are hard to come by except for new and b). they are best suited to GM Fastburn heads only due to the different port design and specialized bolt pattern.

if you're going to spend the money, just go out and buy a Mini Ram and be done with it. No need to convert anything, just bolt it in and go.

Looks like the LT4 intake would be a waste of time and money to make work. How does the mini ram compare to the super ram? I am told the stealth ram won't fit under our hoods, so I guess that's out too...

The LTx intakes and the Mini-Ram intakes are very similar. The Mini-Ram can produce as much power as the super-ram in the low-RPM and the Mini-Ram can make a lot more power in the upper RPMs. However this is very dependant on cam selection...

I really hate the Super-Ram, only because installing it is such a pain...
