Default WOW - My dyno results for my 383 SuperRam

My engine was destroyed by the air foil bolt, as some of you might have read several weeks ago. Today I just received my dyno results and they are awesome. HP tops out at 461 and Torque tops out at 580. For spending $13K+, I think I deserved it. As for what RPM's, I did not write it down, just cared about HP and TQ. Well, have to go back to work. I will be picking up my car around Oct 4th or 5th (hopefully there will be sunny days here in NY) as long as there is no rain. I have to travel 200 miles to get it, should be one hell of a ride home. Take Care, Jon

I will post all info once I pick up my car and info sheet. This has been a long road and costly one for that matter (one little bolt ). I did not have to go all out but my father and I figured since the car condition is mint (only 15K miles), we wanted to have something that no other had in that year, color, and being a conv. With everthing including travel, new wheels and tires and the list goes on and on we are at $15K after all said and done.

Stupid question -- is that rear wheel HP or crank HP? In either case, great numbers. If it's RW, those are freaking amazing numbers

Very curious to see the details on the motor once you get the car back!

They must be FW numbers, a superram on a 383 *cannot* produce those as RW numbers

Some times I feel I should have gone deeper in debt and went with 383+

Rear HP or FLY HP - I never asked. With my custom exhaust system and tuning plus everything else it will get very close to those numbers in the car. My man is great, he will figure it all out and I will have more than I ever thought possible. Either way it does not matter to me . Still going to be a one of the cooolest and most powerful C4 383's out there. For what it's worth - time, knowledge, and $ will get you pretty much anything you ask in a 383 or any other engine for that matter. It was on the dyno, I will see what it is in the car by the end of next week.

I'd sure like to see the specs on that engine. See what you can do about posting the specs on it.

No what he means is flywheel or rear wheel, those are flywheel numbers of the engine by itself on a dyno.

Man you have a lot of trust. I am so paranoid I would only let a few people on the planet build my motor other them me and never ever would I have a motor built with out knowing every detail before I spent a dime. Was the motor built for the street or mainly for HP and ET's? any who congrats on the build and hope you enjoy it

What computer do you have OBD I or II? I'm still not happy with the output from the flash on the chip in my dash I. I dropped a about 11 grand on my 383 SR so the potential is there. I've just been too busy to really get it done right. Take the chip out, mail it away, get it back take it back to the dyno, do it again.... try another guy.... what a PITA..makes you envy the laptop generation.

Those are good numbers, more than likely it is at the flywheel but so what? Thats still a lot of power.

Not hard to spend $13K just on the engine. Everything adds up when you get the best of the best in parts and time. Just look at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, they wanted to do my car for $17K+. It would have cost me 2 grand just in shipping back and forth and it would be $20K after all said and done.
