Thanks to all the forum members who have helped me track down an irractic idle problem. All members who have posted about this problem have keep me reading and learning. Well, I threw parts at an rough idle problem after an injector swap out. I used Techron fuel injector cleaner to treat my Ford injectors it smoothed out well. I had put a Wells TPS (I got from AutoZone) on and it never would idle down. Stayed a 1000-1200 RPM. Did an IAC reset and it wouldn't hold a descent idle. I was at a point where I figured I was going to have to live with a high idle. Read a post "getting the TPS wet caused problems for me" and I recently washed my engine and didn't cover the TPS. OK, put the old OEM TPS back on and Walla !! it now idles at 750 RPM. I don't know if it was the Wells TPS, it getting wet or the GMDelco is just better. I got frustrated with the high idle one night and shoved the TPS arm down and loaded it up. It idled really bad, chugged and knocked and the "Servcie Engine" came on. It replcated the clunking sound that CFI-EFI and I discussed in a previous thread. It hasn't happened since the original TPS was put back on. It idles great now and hopefully it will stay that way. I just hope this might help some other member with a similar problem.
