There are many rotating assemblies available to rebuild my 350 to 383. Some that I've seen advertised, mentioned they require the use of a small base cam to clear the connecting rods. Others don't mention it. I'm wondering if there are some that will clear a standard cam?
Anyone got any experiance with this one?
Unless you get a kit that is advertised to clear...the kit may or may not clear. Certainly depends on the cam in question too-lift/duration gets in the way.
I see above-he had no issues, but I possibly have the same rotating assembly (4340 crank and h beam 5.7 rods) with my setup and it hit my GM 847 cam-.595 lift/304 duration.
I blame (?) aftermarket parts...as my 407 SBC with similar parts also had issues and it wasn't a stroker!
But then again, it runs fine (as high as 7400 rpm thus far)!
