[QUOTE=BrianCunningham;1562258829]C4's were designed from the start to be run 'square', they handle better that way. The bigger tire you can fit the better.
Yes on the track, but is it really needed on the street?
What are the bennefits of having a smaller tire on a large wheel (besides weight savings)? Say a 265 on a 10.5 instead of a 9.5.
Better turn in with the larger wheel?
Yes you can rotate if all the same size, but do you really want to? I mean you can only move front to back, unless you take the tires off (not worth it). So now you have the rears in the front with less tread to cut through the water. Wouldn't it be the same or better to just change the rears more often than the fronts?

My car came stock with the 255/285 setup.
It's better on roads that have truck grooves cut in them, but now that I have 275's on all 4 corners for the street, I picked up another set of rears for a forum member, I'll never go back to the old setup.

Imo the best rim size for hands down is a 18" wheel. There are many styles I prefer but that's just to answer the question. i have 19s right now but don't like the look too much. next summer I plan on going to a 25 series and 30 series front tire to bring the overall size down and maybe it will look better. For now, the 18" Zr1 wheel is king on a lowered c4 imo.

315/30/18 on the rear on a 18x10.5 inch rim. I love it because it doesnt stick out. The nice thing about the Z-06 rims is the weight of them. They are really light.

What is the weight difference between an 18X10.5 Z06 vs. a 17X11 ZR1style rear wheel? Let’s make them after market too with no tires. I may be wrong here but isn't the ZR1 A-mold style stronger than the earlier
Z06 style? I see a lot photos of Z06 track cars running A-mold type wheels.
