Home ported 113 heads. Anyone have results?
I'd really love to compare my Dart irons with the 113 heads. Although my iron heads add about 50 lbs to the front of the car while also lowering the compression ratio by about 0.3, they seem to make a considerable difference in hp/tq than the stock ones, especially after 4000 rpms with my Miniram intake. I'm about .35 faster/+3.2 mph in the 1/8th mile despite the weight difference. Peak flow on the Dart iron heads is roughly 245 cfm @ .500 lift @ 28" of water. That is with 200cc intake ports as advertised. I still have my stock casted 113 heads on the shelf and would like to know some flow numbers before and after porting. Could these 113 aluminum heads be made to flow better than 245 cfm @ .500 lift? If so, how much time and effort would have to be invested in them in order for the stock aluminum heads to outflow the irons? I also wouldn't mind freeing 50 lbs from the front of the car.

Damn the stock alum 113 L98 heads flow like garbage as stocker on the intake side. So technically that is good to about 300 rwhp. The exhaust side isn't too bad though.

Someone here posted a few years ago that they managed to get around 230+ CFM from 113 heads. It was a pretty serious porting job acording to them; and I have no idea how big (CC) the port was when finished. I'd suggest AFR, and sell all yours to help pay for them. JMHO

I made up my mind. I'm gonna let these 113 heads go because porting them still yields less CFM than the Dart irons I have. Thanks for the responses.
