If it had another air filter lid, it would be "two turn tables and a microphone"

Nice job!

I really really wish the air cleaner wasn't soo close to the headers..
Thats pretty much the only thing keeping me away from another blower.
I could get a head unit for cheap money, and make brackets but I don't want the inlet temps 200+ degrees. At least on the fbody, you could do 180 turn and stick the air cleaner in the fender.

The intercooler setups are nice, and I ran one for a short while, but after 20 feet of plumbing and a big IC (24") you lose 3-4psi right off the top. Almost not worth it. Alky injection however, that did the trick!

thanks! your right it is a 1000 cfm 4 barrel throddle body "bigger diameter housing"? if you mean the the thing that looks like an air cleaner its just a houseing the pipe in front of it attaches to a c5 inlet hose and to get more cold air in note the fabricated piece to get more air from the modified c4 filter housing
I realized what it was right away, and like I said ...a good idea. While I don't know for sure about this type of TB, carbs like space around and above to breathe. I think it's 3 1/2" above a Holly, minimum, for good performance. That looks like a 10" houseing; a 14" might work better; more "area". Might not make any difference.
AKS Racing...I've always liked the looks of that plenum you made. I wonder how well it would work NA ?

I made that plenum back in 1990 and sold it along with the whole setup(manifold) here about two years ago. You may want to consider a 4bbl t-body if NA. It will respond much better. That is what I am going to use on my aluminum 427 pump gas motor.

The idea to use a single plane intake for EFI has been around for quite some time. Jeb and I put together one that many forum members have been using on their 383+ motors.

Our setup fits under the stock hood and works as good as anything out there. I tested is A-B-A back when I was running a 406 SR motor and the car gained in every interval of the track - check the archives for details/specifics.

Here is a shot of mine:

The car doesn't seem to have lost any bottom end with the shorter runners

I have never seen a carb do anything EFI can't do - and EFI can likely do it better (equal or greater HP, with increased efficiency).

The limiting factors are typically the use of an OEM manifold (and more typically: the tuning capabilities of the installer).

Carbs are a more simple beast and are easier for the home mechanic to dial in (but not necessarily the be all, end all for "performance").

Cool setup.
